Based on the short story “The Adventures of The Blue Carbuncle” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
It’s Christmas time in Victorian London. By chance, Peterson, a doorman, witnesses a fight between a gentleman and some thugs. At the sight of the official-looking Peterson everyone runs off, and the gentleman leaves his hat and a goose behind. While cooking the goose – for what else can be done with it – Peterson’s wife discovers a priceless gem in the crop of the bird, the very stone stolen a few days earlier from the Countess of Morcar. High time for Peterson’s friends Miss Holmes and Dorothea Watson to take a closer look at the gentleman’s hat and begin to hunt for the thief.
